After watching Gattaca in class yesterday. Which by the way was a phenomenal movie!
It really opened my eyes as to how far people will go to strive for the best. If this country emphasized on making the perfectly engineered human being. there would be way more hatred then there already is. America already criticizes and prides itself on there appearance. Having everyone see this "superior" human being would most likely cause conflict and concern.
Everyone would try to be the best. Which is not a bad thing. However,
what happens when they try too hard to be the best and can never reach that moment of perfection. They
may end up committing suicide because they haven't reached the standards that this "genetically superior
human being" has made.
